The New York Red Bulls and The LA Galaxy both are interested in signing Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard from Galatasaray and Chelsea respectively.
The Ivorian forward Drogba is out of contract at the end of the season just like Lampard but Galatasaray is still debating on whether or not to extend his contract which gives the MLS clubs a chance to step in sign both players.
Thierry Henry has already stated that he would welcome Drogba with open arms to the New York Red Bulls and the arrival of the 36 years old former Chelsea would certainly boost the attacking department of the mls club but the question remains if Galatarasaray will be extending his contract.
Ashley Cole is another player who will be out of contract by the end of the season and this has sparked interest from a number of clubs around the world that are interested in signing the defender from Chelsea as it is highly unlikely that the English defender will be staying in Stamford Bridge for another season.
LA Galaxy is believed to be preparing a contract offer of £4million in order to lure Lampard away from Chelsea and if he does decide to finish the last few years of his career playing in the mls, this would see him having a huge pay raise from what he is currently earning in Chelsea in the Premier League with a club that the English midfielder will not have to play at such a high and competitive level.
The possibility of bigger names arriving to the mls is open as David Beckham’s new Miami team will have surely have him signing high profile players that can guaranteed success when his club starts to get moving in the next few years.
