The FC Tampa Bay Rowdie’s midfielder, Joe Cole recently sent a message to Chelsea fans concerning their newly arrived striker, Alvaro Morata. The Englishman backs Alvaro Morata to be a success at the London club, Chelsea this season after his arrival in England from the LaLiga giants, Real Madrid on a reported fee of 78 million euro.
The Spanish striker joined them at the Stamford Bridge as their fourth signing of the summer as he penned a five-year contract with the English Premier League defending champions following his Spain exit. Alvaro was heavily linked with a switch to Manchester United for much of the summer before his transfer to Chelsea was confirmed later while Manchester United got Romelu Lukaku from Everton.
Former Chelsea, Liverpool, Lille, Aston Villa and Coventry City player, Joe Cole feels that the Spaniard, Moratawill prove to be a brilliant addition to the Blues squad in replacement of the want-away Diego Coasta. Speaking in an interview with Chelsea’s website, Joe Cole stated: “I know he is really a great signing for Chelsea. He is obviously one of the best you can come across in the world. I am always impressed by his performance and that talent will strengthen Chelsea’s attack.
Joe Cole said he could not read any meaning to the criticism about the arrival of the striker as people are alleging it will take time before he will blend into the league. He believes football is always football when you’re good, claiming that ten minutes of play is enough for the brilliant young man to adapt. The 24-year old will be working to help Chelsea retain their Premier League title this season and also mount a challenge for the Champions League. He has so far scored a goal and assisted David Luiz during their 3-2 disastrous loss to Burnley in Chelsea’s EPL opening match in less than 180 minutes of play.
